Petal versionning
The versions of the petals have been changed in the data base (mid september 2005). We decided to use 6 bits, of which the last two are spares. The meaning of bits
1-4 is the following:
-
bit 1: I2C lines
0: 56pF capacitors have been added
1: 56pF capacitors are not present
-
bit 2: HV distribution scheme
0: changes applied (short between pin 3 & 5 on group 2)
1: changes not yet applied
-
bit 3: Clearance
0: clearance modification applied
1: clearance modification not yet applied
-
bit 4: ring 4 alignment modules
0: three ring 4 alignment modules mounted
1: one ring 4 alignment module mounted
The least significant bit is first, and the spare bits are 0.
So a petal with all modifications except the 56pF capacitors would be of version 1-0-0-0-0-0. Perfectly up-to-date petals have thus the version number 0-0-0-0-0-0.
